Our vineyards are half a century old and at the height of their ripeness, capable to surprise us with their qualities and for the balance they have reached.

The grapes we cultivate primarily comprise varieties like Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella without forgetting to mention other equally important native grape varieties like Oseleta and Molinara. The vineyard landscape is completed by parcels of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a few rows of Croatina.

The Prea (Stone) fitta (plunged) or “Piloton” is an ancient monolith, about 2 meters high and approximately 70 cm in diameter, which was transported around 3000 years ago and placed on top of the hill that now bears its name, Monte Preafitta.

This mysterious stone is a symbol of fertility and is believed to have been used by the Romans to determine the center of the city of Verona. The Piloton stands just a few meters from our vineyards, reminding us of the ancient connection between humans and these hills, which still comes to life today in the wine and olive oil produced by Giocaia.
